Microblading
Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow enhancement technique, where through the manual application of pigment into the outer layers of the skin, we are able to imitate individual hair strokes, to create your desired eyebrow, shape, fullness and color. The effects can last up to 18 months, after which time the pigment fades.

Ombre’ Brows “Microshading”
This is personally my favorite style of brow! The inner brow is shaded lighter and progresses to a darker color in the middle, giving the eyebrows dimension and fullness. The perfect treatment for people with sparse brows or who want to camouflage existing tattoo.

The Benefits of Microblading & Microshading!

• Correcting asymmetrical brows by enhancing the shape and color
• Achieve an anti-aging, lifting effect to the eye area by bringing symmetry to your brows
• Add definition
• Add fullness where the natural hair is missing
• Perfect for people with non-existing brows

Semi-permanent treatments use the highest quality, non-toxic pigments available, ensuring your health and results.

Note: If pregnant or breast feeding a doctors note of approval is requested prior to having any Semi-Permanent service done. Please no alcohol or aspirin 24 hours prior to service.

How To Prepare For Your Appointment
• 24 hours prior to your appointment, DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL or CAFFEINE.
• 72 hours prior to your appointment, DO NOT TAKE ADVIL or other blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Niacin or Vitamin E unless medically necessary. • Botox, chemical peels (including retin-A or any skin thinning product) should be done 4 weeks before or 4 weeks after the procedure.
• Avoid booking during your menstrual cycle as it can increase your pain.
• No waxing, tanning or tinting 3 days before.
• Arrive with no makeup for your appointment. A lot of wiping of pigment takes place and makeup can get ruined, so save yourself the hassle!
• Be prepared for your brows to look a little red and really dark! – don’t worry, they will fade in color 30-50%.

• Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system / healing would make you NOT a good candidate for micropigmentation procedures.

How Long Does A Microblading Treatment Take?
Microblading is a 2 step process, usually 5-8 weeks apart. It is important to complete both the initial procedure and touch up.

STEP 1: The initial procedure takes approximately 2 hours. During this time, a consultation is done where we discuss your desired brow look, choose a colour tone and draw the initial outline of the procedure area for your approval. Though our faces are NOT perfectly symmetrical (one side is usually flatter than the other), we do our very best to create as much symmetry as possible! Once you are satisfied with the basic shape and symmetry, the area is then traced over and semi-permanent pigment is applied with a disposable microblading hand tool. Next step is the micro-shading procedure, which uses a rotary machine, with a single fine needle. Which creates a soft back ground color. Giving the brows dimension.

STEP 2: The second stage of the service is a TOUCH-UP ( Perfecting Treatment) appointment. The touch up takes approximately 1.5 hours. Touch ups are done no earlier than 5 weeks.

It is IMPERATIVE you complete the touch up treatment. Without it, the results will not be optimal. Colour will fade significantly within 4 weeks as the skin heals. The touch up corrects any irregularities in the microbladed hair strokes, color tones and finishes the process.

**Occasionally a third touch up (4-6 weeks later) is necessary for certain clients where the pigment does not take as well to the skin.**

How Long Can I Expect It To Last?
The pigment used in microblading is semi-permanent and can last between 1-3 years. The pigment will begin to fade within 12 months. In order to keep your brows looking fresh, a touch up is recommended every 12 months to 24 months maximum. After 2 years, full price for microblading will apply.

Clients who choose a softer look and lighter color initially or those who did not follow the after care instructions properly may require more frequent touch ups.

Factors that will cause your microbladed brow tattoo to fade faster:
• Iron deficiency
• Sun exposure
• Exfoliants
• Strong immune systems
• Exposure to salt water
• Smoking

Are Semi-Permanent Eyebrows Deemed Permanent?
Technically, semi-permanent micro-pigmentation is considered permanent because the color is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. However, the pigment is implanted more superficially than a traditional tattoo, so it naturally fades over time.

Does The Application Hurt?
We take every precaution necessary to ensure the microblading procedure is as pain free as possible. A strong topical anaesthetic cream is used prior to and during the procedure to keep you as comfortable as possible. Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable while others report no discomfort at all.

How Long Is The Recovery Or Healing Time?
Immediately after your microblading procedure and in the first 10 days, your brows will appear darker and defined than perhaps your desired look. Healed results may fade to be 30%~50% lighter..

We all heal differently and what works on one client, may not be effective on another, so please do not compare your results. The complete healing process takes approximately 4 weeks. You must not get them wet for 7-10 days and continue applying aquaphor to the brows if the area seems dry! The amount to apply, should be similar to how much lip balm you would apply. Thin coat/veil of product!

How Do You Choose A Color?
We choose a color together by applying small amounts of different colored pigments to the skin near to your brows and selecting the best match for your skin tone, features and personal preference. As a rule of thumb, we closely match the color of your brow hair rather than your current hair color for the most natural results.

What Types of Pigments Do You Use?
We use iron oxide pigments that will fade over time and are naturally absorbed by the skin. Iron oxides are innocuous, harmless and perfectly safe for your skin.

Can I Have My Brows Microbladed if I’m Pregnant?
No you cannot have this treatment done if you are pregnant, unless you provide a doctor’s note of approval!
